I am done with work now. No more weddings this year. No travel planned. Just at home getting ready for baby and the holidays. Sounds so perfect. Sounds like a dream come true. Only thing is I am stuck in that chilly weather no motivation to even shower mode. I also think of this time as my early 20's.
I am getting stuff done at home and prepping to get our nursery all set up. Today Potsch and I are heading to check out paint chips! It would be amazing to have paint from Farrow & Ball. What a way to start my kid off! With gorgeous high class color surrounding her. But that may be for a different time in a different house. Today will check out some more budget friendly options.
I will also be cooking up a storm! Not for Thankgiving even but for my friends who just had their first baby on Monday. I will be bombarding them with deliciousness to help them stay full and healthy while they spend every waking moment staring at this miracle they made. I'll be sure and take some photos and maybe give you a couple recipes?
This is a sort of random update post. I just wanted you to know I am thinking about you.

May your beauty blossom

I love beautiful architectural home goods with a purpose and Vessel hits me where it hurts. Striking, stunning and exciting. The shapes inspire me to dream and aim for better. The colors make my soul smile. Thank you Vessel for showing how fun it can be to be an adult. Or a lucky child growing up around such beauty.

I mean, come on! How rad is this? Maybe not the most kid friendly but perfect for a nice adult night.
I wish I were a bird. A Bird upon that bird feeder.
Happiness abounds!!!!!! Oh, the color!!!!

Feral of fun
Two houses over from us about two months ago a litter of baby kitzies were born. For most of that time they stayed in their yard and you were luck to catch a glimpse of them frolicking in the grass. Well, this week has been my week. After patiently waiting with a can of tuna for an hour I was swarmed. There are 7 total. All sooooo different. All super cute. I did make the mistake of pushing my luck. I tried to pick up the orange tabby and was met with a slew of scratches that I am still mending.

Birds of a feather love together
The concept behind this sweet piece sold me - "These two birds are in love, plain and simple.
But, they know that they have to work together to maintain their relationship. Compromise and team work are key. Together, they hold their little love up." Get yours here.

Traumatized

This move has been a earth shattering for our kitzies. Spidey seems to be the only one okay. Rhoda has taken off not to be seen in the last week and sweet little Yoko or as we call her YokiDokes spends her whole day hidden under our bed sheets. Slowly but surely, I am told, they will settle down and be happy again. My fingers remain crossed. Any advice on how to make kitties happy again?

Oh What a Beautiful Mornin' Oh What a beautiful Day!
Potsch and I are steadily unpacking and getting ourselves settled into our new home. We couldn't be happier. There is always that little bit of fear when jumping into change and as usual it all turns out splendid. We are waking up to the most wonderful light in our bedroom. Makes starting our day so exciting and special. We have been meeting our neighbors who have all been artsy and fun.
We have so many plans for our new life and having a lovely home is making those plans seem so completely reachable.
Now, I have to remember I have a wedding coming up in less that 65 days. CRAZY!!!!!!!

Home sweet home

Please excuse my lack of blogging lately. I am so exhausted from packing and moving and working that my head just hasn't been right for finding super special items for my lovely blog readers - that's you!
I promise to get back to it very soon.
For now, here are some shots of our new place. We have only moved a few boxes so far. I can't wait to see what we do with the space. I love change (like this)!

This is my favorite part. Our Big Huge Garage. We will be turning this into our crafty heaven. Dark room. Silk Screening. Painting. Everything creative and messy will go here. CAN'T WAIT!!!!

YAY!! Here we go!!!

We got it!!!!! Potsch and I (like crazy people) are moving 2 months before our wedding! Who does that?! Only people who are crazy nuts.
We are thrilled though. We have had 3+ lovely years in Pasadena and as we start are our life as married people we will do so in a new home in Echo Park.
Picture to come.

I can't take it anymore!!!
Oh man! I am chewing down my nails to their cuticles!
I apologize for the lack of posting this week. First off I want to say a BIG HUGE THANK YOU to all you amazing readers and your love and care about me and my tooth. We are doing splendid again. No more pain and no more meds. YAY!!!! Your good thoughts definitely let me not feel alone. xoxoxo
Now,(I clearly must love to stress) Potsch and I have put in an application on a new place in Echo Park. It would be a huge change for us. It is smaller but it is a little house. Also, the area, though cool, is not the most convenient to all our normal conveniences that we have come to love, ie: Target, Trader Joe's, My new Yoga studio that I am obsessed with. All these things are not terribly far but they are also not and terribly close as they are right now.
But we want a change. I want to be closer to my friends and where I do most of my photography work. And we want a "new life" as we start our married life together.
my stress comes like this: The Lovely landlord is taking her sweet ass time to call me and tell me "Yes!!!" or "no, boo".

Come on Lady!!! I have packing to do. A lot of packing!!
the only thing in life that really gets under my skin is waiting. Ahhh!
ha. Who does a huge move 2.5 months before they wed? Only a moron, right?

Peek inside - Artist Margaret Wuller

One of my constant inspirations is my friend Margaret Wuller. She is a brilliant artist who not only works for Dreamworks but also finds time to do her own amazing personal work too. Her sense of color and composition does not stay just on the page but rather intoxicates the rest of her world as well. Her clothing style is impeccable with the perfect balance of femininity - with soft delicate fabrics and color, and graphic structure and strength. Now imagine this same perfect balance in a home. Minimal and yet full of warmth and comfort.

Pish P.O.S.H.
This store is great and I am so pleased that their site is great too! When I lived in Chicago a while back I used to love visiting P.O.S.H. I have a thing for diners and I love me some coffee. Thanks to P.O.S.H. I can now serve my own dinner on diner ware and drink my coffee at home in some vintage mugs minus the attitude laden waitress. The website is chalk full of fun vintage and surprising finds.
"At some point in your life, you want something that is real!" That thought is what drives P.O.S.H. to search high & low for the items that stock its shelves - an eclectic assortment of vintage Hotel Silver, Restaurant China & Flea Market Finds. Found in such disparate places as old American china warehouses to the antique markets and auction houses of Europe, the items sold at P.O.S.H. are often one-of-a-kind or limited in quantity. From a vintage silverplate Tea Service once used in an English Country Inn to a beautiful Water Pitcher from a Grand Hotel in New York, many of our pieces tell a romantic story of an age gone by."

Beauty in the most interesting way
I want these. Actually I probably want everything available on this site. Some of the jewelry is so random that is blows my mind with beauty. I am a sucker for random everyday being the total definition of beauty. I mean cinder block necklace? perfection. I could make so much bullshit symbolism with that AND I would actually believe it all!
Thank you Areaware for your beautiful ware.

It is my dream to have a image covered wall. And every one knows I love kitzies.

I love this bird house. It is like a mini Epcot center for birdies. Also, I would definitely save some coins for this little piggy.

Paint my heart red
I try not to re-post Design*Sponge stuff only cause the whole world follows that blog but this I could not resist. I LOVE this sooo freaking much I can't stand it!
Thank god Potsch is a crafty drawing painting acting genius because i am totally going to have him make me this on our wall when we get our house.

Would it be wrong if I had one of these painted on a wall? Maybe a office wall and then I could deck it out with all my other framed cat pictures and painting. Crazy? Yes. Cool? You better believe it!
