The new boyfriend

The other day, after a few nights of uneasy pregnant sleep, Potsch got my my very own boyfriend pillow. That is not the real name for it but it should be cause it takes up half the bed and you get to snuggle with it all night long, thus The Boyfriend. My nights are wonderful now. So cozy and wrapped up and when I wake up to pee 20 times a night I see that Potsch is equally snuggled up to the pillow and his sweet little face is right there by mine.
Now I love sleeping even more.

I was talking to my wonderful friend and Bride, Margaret, today about when to get out nails done for her wedding. I love doing lady dates. Then I found this and it made me giggle. perfect timing.

Cover the Walls

No matter what I can not let the thought of having children someday (maybe sooner than later) leave my head. When Potsch and I were in Thailand I kept trying to buy all these handmade stuff animals for our someday baby. I did get one and it is rad. A little creepy but rad. And now I find myself slowly creating a collection of wall art to hang in a room that we don't have. But I can't help it. I want to fill this life with so much love and thought and design and color. I don't want to just rush out to Walmart and pack the room with all "Baby" stuff. I want it all to be special and have special meaning. This is not to say that there won't be things and moments that just happen. And there wont be things and moments that develop their specialness down the line. I guess I am just over flowing with love for this child that is still just floating out in the universe waiting for its perfect time. I am learning to trust time and life a bit more. And maybe my slow collection is helping me with my patience. So bring on the help Small talk Studio.

HoneyB startin to buzz again

Now that I am done with work for a few weeks I have a lot to catch up on. 1st HoneyB. We are hitting the ground running with our Cat Pillows. $30 each for the kitzies in the collection and $70 for a custom pet pillow.

I am pretty sure that anything you could ever need you would find at the Spoon Sisters. They have every gadget from funny to actually useful for babies to old folks. Perfect place to find that bday gift or hostess gift or just something for yourself.


I am really into tea these days. Trying to cut back on my coffee cause I noticed it was really drying out my skin. Anyway, I love when my tea bag tag has a little saying on it. Good Earth Original tea - so yum - has a saying. It just makes me smile. I also LOVE fortune cookies and save all my fortunes in an old tin box. really.

I have seen so many mustaches taking over the world but I have never seen this stache for a dog. Made me laugh and then I imagined it on every dog I know.

Care Package Brilliance!

I love, more than life it self, care packages. Sometimes I think I moved away to Chicago to go to college at 25 just so my mom would send me care packages. She did and what was in them (though great) did not matter cause the feeling I got from getting my box of love was the greatest! Now I live about 20 minutes away from my mom and she still find ways to give me care packages - sometimes they even come in the mail.
Point is - I found Victor Sizemore and his lovely photography blog. And even better I found his Xmas care packages and personalized Grooms men infused bourbon boxes! What?!?!?! It seems I have found my care package soul mate. Victor even has gorgeous labels for everything. God organization AND creativity has got to be the sexiest combination!!

Victor makes a themed box and then personalizes it for his family and friends every xmas. I am thinking about facebooking him so i can get on the list. hehe


How kickass are these groomsmen gifts? I always find groomsmen gifts to feel so forced. I mean how many guys really carry around an engraved flask with a cigar attached? But these...Let's just say I am trying to talk Potsch into letting me wear the tux on our big day. I also think these infused bourbon boxes would be great anytime gifts. wink wink. My bithday is january 8th.
I love the drink names and that there is a cool drink recipe. The whole thing feels so prohibition.

Plastica has a registry

Potsch and i are less than a year away from our wedding day. Ok fine. We are just barely less than a year away but still - time is flying. Wedding thoughts are always on my mind somewhere. I like it really. Nothing like a big project to make me happily stressed.
Today I checked out Plastica, a very cool store online that has a REGISTRY!!!! I find wedding gifts to be a bit odd and uncomfortable sometimes. I would never ever want to be ungrateful and yet at the same time i don't want to be stuck with stuff we don't need or want. Does that make me sound lame and greedy? Potsch and I are not at the point where we can say "No presents, really." I mean lets be real getting wedding presents is fun, it is part of the whole event, right? Wow the more I write the more ungrateful I feel. I will press on and hope that you gorgeous readers will put me in my place if i am tipping out of it.
Let's get to the point shall we? Registry! There are more and more stores getting savy to the gift registry and thank god. Not that there is anything wrong with Crate&Barrel. I actually enjoy C&B it is a good stand by but there are so many more wonderful vintage and handmade items I would love to fill my new life with.
I will start a series of registry stores. Starting with Plastica. I will keep you informed as i find more places for you to personalize your gift registry with.
