I can't stop it - come with me

I started Instagram a bit ago but wasn't ready to figure it all out. Now it is a full on every 5 min check-in addiction. I can't help it. So much fun to see people out and about in their worlds and the gorgeous ways they capture it. And now with the New Year and a sweet little January photo challenge I am hooked. If you are on already look me up!!! and if you're not...Get on!!!!

This belly of mine makes seeing all my new Christmas shoes hard to see.

My sweet family to date. Look at my short hair. Oh brother! Getting it cut tomorrow. Who knows what this pregnant brain will ask for.

5 days into January. Not too late for you join in! I'd love to see what you come up with!! And chances are some of your other favorite bloggers are already instagram-ing.

All about Pretend Kids

All about Eve is quite the little fashionista. I may be borrowing a few of her outfits to make for myself. I mean, she wears boots with the perfect balance of attitude and sassy.

Pretend Kid with great shoes

I may have blogged about Misha Lulu before but this latest collection has me saving my pennies and searching the internet for cool vintage shoes for my someday girl. love the playfulness of these girls. Girlie and yet still ready to climb trees and get dirty.

Gift Guide #4 stay warm

I love the style and warmth of these great cowl neck scarves from Stitch Rabbit. Hand made and all cool. They are also making me want to take up knitting.

I could disappear in that color.

Love this detail of the tail. And her hair cut is pretty rad.

Hucklebones. I can see clearly now.

Everyday I spend a little to a lot of time dreaming about my little girl. Who will she be? What will she dream about? And lots of times, what will she wear?
I was a very lucky girl growing up. Of course I did not know to what extent until I was faced with making my choices. Now as I dream and shop for my someday baby girl I remember my mom dressing me in fashions from France and the hottest trends she had read about in Vogue. I had edgy cool hair cuts all because of her. She taught me to play with my clothes and be inventive. She would design and sew my halloween costumes from scratch from Marilyn Monroe to a fuzzy Ewok. My love for clothes, textures, styles and trends all come from her. So, you can see I have a lot to pass on to this little girl and yet at the same time be just as patient as my mom was with me when this little girl has her own inventions and isn't interested in mine.

But until she can dress herself I may just be dressing her in Hucklebones from London.

Gift time is approaching... gift guide #1 2011

I like to internet shop. I love to internet window shop. And I adore sharing my finds. The Holidays are fast approaching. So, I figured why wait? Let's talk gifts now. Better to be prepared and get that great tear jerking gift than to tell some one what you wanted to get them but ran out of time. No one likes that gift. Cause it really just feels like you didn't make any time or thought for them. Boo. So, here you go. Gift idea help.

Who doesn't like a nice piece of jewelry? Can change up any outfit and illicit compliments the second you walk in the room. So really you are giving the gift of inside glow and smiles along with your gorgeous Palomarie piece. Sounds like a nice gift for yourself too.

Wrap it up

Finally the cold weather of California is coming!!! I love to bundle up. I love wearing scarves and jackets and pants and tights and all things cozy and warm. But the thing about scarves is I get a little lost as to how to wear them beyond the usual knot. Sometimes I am given scarves as gifts - the large square ones, those really get me lost. Well, I am found now. No excuses for not having a little extra winter style this year.

Dreaming in technicolor

I was checking out Mrs. Lilien this morning and kept getting swooped off my feet by all the fun fem-color and sequins! Color and sparkle really just makes any day better. Get your fill here.
This outfit post had me thinking "my lovely readers would dig this!" So, here you go! I hope you enjoy. In my dream world I will breastfeed so much and so well that fitting in to any of the high waisted pants would be nothin'.
Here is to dreaming....

She's on the case

Leave it to my pinterest pal, Cuban Girl, to have the low down on kick ass ipad cases. You can find one to fit your needs and desires all right here. And might I suggest giving her a little follow action on the ol'pinterest as she is always down with what is up. no joke y'all.
ps- style definitely comes with a price on this selection but style makes you feel like a million buckets. so, pay up.

love this color AND it has a camera hole in the back for the ipad2. sweet!

This is a sleeve but it has stars all over it so I love it.

I mean, it's MJ. and it's shiny.
This little sparkle bag is one of my favorites. When I am done working and doing more freelance stuff i won't need to carry around so much. This would be perfect to pull on and head to the coffee shop to blog.

See above reason for cool little bag case and then add that it's MJ. I love MJ.

Comfortable. Pretty but Comfortable

I am going to start talking in an accent. This baby bump lady is just lovely and the clothes from Hatch are brilliant.

Hatch Sequence from Ariane Goldman on Vimeo.

I love the idea of clothes that good when you're pregnant and when you're not. So smart and sexy!

How cute is this blazer and brown belt on that dress. Definitely want to steal that look.

I am wearing an outfit fairly close to this today. thanks to the rain I broke out my motorcycle boots and black leggings. I love the rain.

I can't stop thinking about it

Lately I have been on this kick to move to Montana and start a farm and get away from the internet and cell phones and all gadgety electronics. To raise my kid in the wild and nature and on from the heart of the land...and then my friend, Sam, sends me this...Marc Jacob diaper bag!!!! how about that print?! The print is what got me. $288 quite a bit steep for me these days but maybe if I get a little more design work and a few more photo jobs I can justify it. maybe.

Via here.

Pretend Kids - mine and Kate

I absolutely love Soft Gallery. So lovely and whimsical and yet chic and pure fashion. The photos of their pieces are just gorgeous as well. I imagine my baby to be a little more rough and tumble with twigs and glue in their hair on a daily basis but I have no doubt my super model friend Kate's children will be just this eloquently stylish. And the video on the front page is absolutely calming and zone inducing. Makes me wanna copy copy copy and make my own.

Love this little boy.

I could see my husband in those pants and shoes. So, I will not be surprised my our child dons the same look.

This is how I wish I was posing in most photos as an adult.
