It's my mom's fault

As a little girl my mother was a tad bit obsessed with making me look like a french little girl. I wore french clothes literally imported from France. I wen to a french private school. and she cut my bangs extremely short. Now as I lust for a physical change I find myself waning toward Le France.
I do love the dream of having hair like Brigitte Bardot but alas i can only achieve such a look with heavy expensive extensions. So, I am heading in the opposite direction. French New Wave.

Teenage Dream with me

Oh my lord this is brilliant!!!!! I wasn't expecting much and instead my mind was blown. Definitely the watch!!!!

Kelty of Steep Street and my all around favorite goddess in all the world who happened to have been the photographer of our wedding has just sent me my first little sneak peek!

Oh so thrilling. Our wedding day swooshed by us in such a flash. We love getting to feel the excitement and love all over again through these stunning shots.
I can't wait to see more and share them with you!!!

Mad Men say what?

This made me giggle and then I said what in my mind about a thousand times.

Mother and Daughter comedy

My mom and I are both comedic actors and writers. We have said for years we should have a Mommy and me show and now finally we are going to start brainstorming so ideas.
To get my mind thinking I decided to check out mother daughter comedy acts on youtube.
Classic.

Pretend kid times a billion

Oh you sweet sweet little red haired pixie. How I adore your sweet little face! And the Stella McCartney style ain't bad either.

Well Hello, Sir

I am a kitzie person through and through but these fashionable puppy get ups from Rover got me.

Could weddings be my business

I have had a hard time talking about my wedding here cause I still can't believ it is over. So much time planing and designing and loving it. Weddings and everything about them have become my drug now. Luckily I have two sets of newly engaged/soon to be committed friends.

One is Nicole and Callard aka NiCal. Adore these gorgeous souls! They are choosing to commit them selves to each other for their lifetimes and beyond. How incredibly special is that?!

I have already started making inspiration boards for her celebration style. I just can't help it!

And second are my stunning pals Teenz and Nick. Nick got down on one knee at the top of Temescal Gateway Park. That's where Potsch and I got married!!! Teenz is so excited. She has been up till 4am every night scouring the wedding blogs. I know how that goes.

Congrats, my beautiful girls and your men!!! SO exciting!!!

Dale Frank speaks to my soul

How incredibly moving and speech stealing are these gorgeous pieces by Dale Frank. I wouldn't mind getting lost in one of these.

Making a plan so we can throw it away

Potsch and I have started looking into our epic honeymoon idea. Since we have not done a lot of traveling in our time together we figured Now is time. Before we have kids we want to feel we have seen, at least some of, the world. Our dream is to travel with our kids too but we need to know what traveling at all is, first.
Our Plan - 1 month total to see Thailand, Cambodia, Loas, Angor Wat, Paris, Ireland and maybe Italy. Hahaha writing it out blows my mind. Is it even possible to cover that much ground? I have never been back packing. It has always looked cool but scared the shite out of me. This may be our last chance for an experience like that. Exciting!

If you have any advice on planning a trip or know any great places to stay, eat or play - Please please let me know.

A New Look

Today was dress up Friday at work. I work at "The United States of Tara". It is a great job full of fun people. I mean, we have dress up fridays! How cool is that?!

Today's theme was: "That's a bad idea for a costume or Dress up like John Corbett"
Guess what I chose...

Corbett was so excited for my outfit that he asked to take a photo with me and also gave me his album! sweet deal.

I rocked this look all day.

I have been sick and working hard all week. I will get back to posting more soon.

If the shoe fits..I'll wear them all

I have decided that my fall/winter look will be tights and heels with skirts and dresses.
It's really just a good reason to buy more shoes and tights.
go here for all these and many more!

I am a size 8.5 if any one want to surprise me. hehehe

I love a man in cuffs

CuffLinks, that is. How perfect are these Paul Smith cufflinks. A lovely gift for your beau.

I think you are ready for this Jelly

In honor of the holiday season fast approaching I thought it would be good to arm ourselves with some fun party food creations.
Jelly Shot Test Kitchen has blown my mind with it's inventive and delicious gelatin creations. Many are alcoholic but there are some that are kid friendly as well.
I don't know which I will try first.

Paloma Cocktail

Mimosa with Orange Flower Water

French 75

Candy Corn (non-alcoholic)

I've never been able to sit still

I have never been able to sit still for very long. Now that my wedding is over I am antsy for the next big project. I of course want that project to a baby but lucky for Potsch we have been accepted into Unique LA's Holiday show which will keep us crazy busy till December 3rd. But my baby fever can only be cooled for so long.

I posted this on my side project today and just couldn't help but share it with you. Too freakin' adorable. I already want to rearrange my living space so I can make one too (a baby and a movie- hehehe)

Pack it up

I am on search for a new bag to carry my computer. The search is slow but as always if I find something good I have to spread the word.

Check out these sweet back packs from Let's Play All Day.

Dear Fall, please arrive!

Where is fall? I hear it has made it's appearance in other places around the world but alas not here in Sunny Hot California. I want it to be Fall oh so bad. I am a boots and scarves kinda girl not a Daisy Dukes / Bikinis on top girl.

In my hunger and thirst for the breezy season I am stocking up on cooler fashion. Like these:

F-Troupe Button Boots - just fun and classy
Throw on a pair of skinny leg black trousers and let the colors of your button boot plaid pop by adding this brilliant Proenza Schouler /DB Coat.
Or these platforms with a pair of navy blue opaque tights? Definitely my favorite look of the season. A Détacher /Verlaine Platform Sandal
This Rachel Comey /Linger Dress would be a gorgeous topper for said tights and heels.

The Official Mrs. Boyd

This is the only shot we have from our mini-moon. We were too busy. wink wink.

It is done! Seems so crazy that a year and a half of planning and designing and making is done. Our wedding was glorious! Not a single thing went wrong and we could not have smiled bigger. I can not wait to share the whole story and all the photos with you. Here are a couple from the guests to whet your appetite.

My brother, Tommy, playing us a song he wrote. So lovely.

I can't wait to show you this in more detail. Potsch built this glorious cupcake stand from scratch. We both added tiny people with their own tiny stories hiding through out. The cupcakes were phenomenal as well! Thanks Chef Cathy Shambley!!!

Hot Feet!

9 days y'all! I am a mess of headaches and smiles.
Found this on a quick search and had a great time dreaming I was there with Hot Feet.

I hope people will be kicking their heels up at our wedding. Nothing is more fun than cuttin' lose on the dance floor. I mean just look at those faces. Pure and utter fanciful abandonment.
