I went over to Ffffound to see if there was any inspiring photos. I hit the jack pot but the jack pot of WTF land. Every time I found one it lead me to the next and the next. I could not stop.

Collette is a big kid

I left Paris one day before the Collette store opened. I fogged up their windows as I gazed and longed to touch all their wonderful surprises. Thank god their site can give me a small fix until we meet again in person.
Collette has many things but I would say that over all she is a child in an adult body and she ain't changin'.

Oh boy Oh boy!

I have been longing for a great pair of saddle shoes. I have had a few pairs in my day and I always find such joy in wearing them. Their stunning contrast harks back to a day of equal contrast. Life seemed so simple and easy and yet there was so much kept hidden and not allowed. Ah, the good ol' days.

Anyway, these came to me as I was gathering info for an up coming post but they just put a smile on my face and I hope it will do the same for you.

Wedding dresses are confusing

I started taking ganders at gowns again.
I would love to know your thoughts. Getting engaged is so thrilling and so much fun. Planning a wedding should be the same. But in a way I find the wedding world to be much like that of Chicago's Sin City in the early 1900's. Lots of shady business and plenty of dark alleys waiting for you to take a wrong turn down.
I find it gets difficult to know what it is your really want. We all know that a wedding should be about you (the couple). But what exactly does that mean.
I found that my best radar is to gather as many options as possible and put them out in front of me and then just follow my guts.
It is like asking someone "Should I wear shirt A or shirt B?" it doesn't matter that they say shirt B cause you know you are going to wear shirt A. Some times you just need that push to commit.
If you don't mind, would you be my push and sounding board?

A simple Sapphire gown. Color is beautiful price is cheap. But is it special enough to be a wedding dress? and a colorful wedding dress at that?


I have been thinking more Marigold and blue tones as my options but I love this. Sexy and elegant. I love the gold. I also like that I could wear this again. Is that wrong to want to wear your wedding dress again? I think it a wonderful thought that while you are out with your Husband you and he would remember that wonderful day you became husband and wife.

Holy crap y'all. I just found it in Blue or technically it called "Ocean". I kinda love it! Me with my platinum hair and big boobs. It kinda also makes me laugh. I would want all my bridesmaids to have their hair done in big bouffants wearing vintage dresses. That wedding sounds like a blast. Not sure if it works with Potsch and his spats. But we could figure it out.
P.S. this ocean dress is almost half the price of the fuchsia one above.
This such a Dolly dress. Now be honest. Is this amazing or is it amazing if I was going to prom?

oh, how Charming

I thought a charm bracelet would make a lovely gift to someone, maybe a bridesmaid or mother or maybe even yourself. When I went looking into the idea I was shocked and pleasantly surprised at all the options. These charms at Rembrandt Charms go beyond the heart or fairly symbol, even passed the #1 mom and ballet slippers trinket. These charms are here to celebrate the beauty of the everyday with special solid gold or just gold plated bed pans and desks and rifles and crutches.

I am very temped to make a bracelet with a charm for each family member. I wonder who the electric saw would represent?

Crazy or brilliant?

There is something that thrills me to bits about this idea but then there is something that makes me think things could go horribly wrong. Meaning maybe someone (Me) has gotten a bit too into the details of everything wedding and lost her head. But there is a classy way to do this right?

Have fun learning German

I love being partnered for life with a sexy cool foreign boy. My is from Germany. It is fun being the emotional in-love with everything American girl with her determined to-the-point German boy.

I have known from the start that our children will be raised learning both English and German. I don't know German. I learned a little from some cd's and I looked really cute when we first visited his family in German but now my two/three German sentences are just a disappointment. Luckily one of my best friends has also fallen for a German and she too needs to get on the German speaking band wagon.

I am thrilled to enroll in a foreign language class with my friend. I learned french for about ten years and can only speak it if I have to survive. (I know this from experience)Now, learning a language has an actual point. I am bettering myself for my children.

Of course the best way to learn a language is to submerge yourself in it. But I am not moving to Germany right now and I doubt Potsch will sign on to only speak German to me from now on. So, I found some music.
