Trend Alert - Pinwheels

One of my all time favorite shows as a kid was Pinwheel on Nickelodeon. I still to this day hum the theme song to get a smile on my face. I finally found some Pinwheel on YouTube today and I have been smiling from ear to ear and giggling just like a 6 year old.

I had to include a little Chapi Chapo.

So, the other day I posed the idea of our bridesmaids carrying large pinwheels rather than bouquets to Potsch. He had to think about it. In the mean time I started to see pinwheels everywhere. I clearly was not the only one with this idea. I ain't mad atcha tho.

1. Cup Cake Wheel 2. Pinwheel Bouquet 3. Rosette Pinwheels 4. Engagement

If you are so inspired and feel the urger to make your own wheel. Check this out.
I did.

Release the Kraken

I am not a huge drinker but I love a good drink. I also love a great package (ha wink wink). The Kraken looks to be everything a girl like me could want.
The website by the way is amazing. The graphics and the movies and commercials will keep you entertained as your thirst rises.
Yum.

How brilliant is that poster? Definitely frame-able.

I think this would make a great Groomsmen gift. Or gift for anyone really.

I can't even remember how I stumbled upon this blog but I have been obsessed with getting to the very first page. Lulu Letty is the prettiest, cutest, most stylish thing I ever did see. I love her blog content and all her photos. I love that her husband, Cole, takes these gorgeous photos of her.

Pretty Dangly things

I love the colors of these. I wish I could wear earrings. I never cared much about them but when I see pretty ones like these I wish. Oh well, I will take the gorgeous necklaces easy.
Find these and more at Moshi Moshi.

I think these would also be pretty bridesmaid gifts. Thoughts? I love to hear 'em.

Paint my heart red

I try not to re-post Design*Sponge stuff only cause the whole world follows that blog but this I could not resist. I LOVE this sooo freaking much I can't stand it!
Thank god Potsch is a crafty drawing painting acting genius because i am totally going to have him make me this on our wall when we get our house.

Would it be wrong if I had one of these painted on a wall? Maybe a office wall and then I could deck it out with all my other framed cat pictures and painting. Crazy? Yes. Cool? You better believe it!

Instant Planet saving decorating Beauty

I am playing with the idea of paper flowers for some wedding decor. I was first thinking of buying some of those awesome Mexican flowers but then I found these. Do It Yourself paper flowers on Maya*Made. Besides for the fact that I will be stalking her blog - this tutorial is perfect! I love the use of found objects and turning them into something pretty.

How cool are these shredder scissors?

What do you think about flowers at weddings? Do you think weddings HAVE to have flowers?

Time to make an appointment

I am not the hugest fan of summer but I do love spring. I like summer too I just don't like sweating a lot when I am just standing still.
With that said, seeing this made me want that big bright sun to shine!
It also made me want to finally book an appointment to get my toes done. I have alwasy admired ladies who make a proper habit of getting their fingers and toes done regularly. I think it makes such a difference in how you feel about yourself. I am a big fan of "Me time".
You can get these cute granny sandals here.

A large glass of this would be great

I love Sangria - specifically my friend Nicole's Sangria. Mmmm yum.
I found this as I was off dreaming and gazing at Forty-Sixty at Grace. Sounds amazing! Also, I LOVE anything with Chambord - the absolute best!

blackberry sangria

2 bottles of grenache based red wine
(or any wine you like really)
750 ml club soda
1/2 vanilla bean
2 cinnamon sticks
1 lemon (sliced)
1 cup fresh orange juice
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup fresh blackberries or marionberries
2 apples sliced
1/2 cup chambord

1. combine wine, sugar, chambord,
half of the blackberries, vanilla pod, orange juice,
cinnamon sticks and lemon together
and stir until sugar is mostly dissolved.
2. let stand in refridgerator for 2 - 24 hours.
3. before serving add the soda,
the sliced apples
and the remaining blackberries.
4. i think it's nice to serve it from an old bottle
with a pretty ladle
and lots of ice
into small glass lassie cups.
5. but, anything you like is just fine. enjoy!

This is where my mind is right now

This post may drive some people crazy as it shows us where we are not and it s also a bit of a rambling of my distracted mind.

I have no idea where we are going to Honeymoon and we are totally open to your thoughts.
But after the comments I received on my sucky job/new focus post I decided to start googling "balcony" and "Ocean". Oh what a dangerous choice whilst stuck in my windowless tomb.
(honestly it ain't that bad)

Turkey seems nice.
Malaysia is definitely a place I would like to be right now and maybe forever. I found The Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort here with great reviews.

How about this $510 a week in Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica?

I was specifically looking up balconies and beaches. Maybe next I will focus on jungle adventures! Give me your thoughts! It is fun to travel through my computer.

Just have to share

I am not at all in the mood to be at work today. In fact today this job sucks because I was told I was not allowed to leave at 7pm to do the last short form improv show at Improvatorium. I want to be a creative improviser not a secretary. Wow, I really try to keep the venting to a minimum but today I am annoyed. Ack, trust the process, right?
Anyway, I snuck a peek at this blog, Forty-Sixth at Grace,my mom sent me and found this gorgeous photo. It reminded me it is all in what you focus on.

The Art of Manliness

I am a huge fan of this book, "The Art of Manliness".
I bought it on a whim at xmas for Potsch as really just a funny throw away gift. Turns out it was the best present for him AND me!
Potsch is having a great time reading it and learning all the wonderful ways one can be more manly which is really just being more of a gentleman. Potsch now goes and gets him self a proper Cut and Shave at a glorious old barber shop in Silver Lake, Sweeney Tod's. He has learned about the true man friendship and what a proper bachelor party is and where it originated from.
If I had the funds I would buy this for all men! It is a fun read and has fun drawings. The Art Of Manliness even has a cool Blog! Definitely worth checking out. Also, the book is on sale Here for only $11.55.
