Are you kidding me?

I don't understand. If you are having buckets of pain before a root canal and during should you not feel total and complete comfort once it is done? It has been 3 full days since my emergency root canal and when I woke up this morning I felt the slight tingling of pain in my jaw joint and and recently tunneled tooth. I shook it off figuring I was just tired but as this day has progressed so has the pain. I am now back into throbbing migraine creating pain! My dentist is telling to up my prescription of 3 Advil and 1 Tylenol to 3 Advil and 2 Tylenol. I am at a lost. The Advil is doing NOTHING!!!!! I have no Tylenol until I am off work. I am supposed to do a ZombiƩnce show tonight and pick up my much dreamed about wedding dress tomorrow. I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR PAIN!!!!!! Does anyone have any advice on how to knock the shit out of this throbbing death dreaming pain? I need relief in a big bad way!!!

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about your pain. I wish I could do something to help you out. As far as I remember, I did not feel any pain after my root canal. Perhaps you should ask your doctor for a more effective pain reliever? I will be visiting my doctor's dental Maryville, TN clinic next week. Maybe I could ask him about your problem.

Come to think of it, my dentist in Maryville, TN did a great job fixing my tooth because I felt no pain whatsoever.

When my friend had a root canal her dentist gave her vicodin. It may be a bit strong though, kinda puts you in a haze of non-pain

ugh. that sounds horrrrrrrrrrrible. as a kid i never understood why people hated the dentist so much. then, i became an adult and realized why. -- kids don't get deep tissue cleanings and root canals, cause their teeth just fall out. easy peasy.
