Fourth of July

Hope you all had a happy splendid independence day this past weekend.
Potsch and I got to attend a classic BBQ at my friends Nicole and Cal's new place in silver lake. It was a super grand time full of yummy food and funny laughs. The ladies had a riveting conversation about the pros and cons of ingesting your placenta after birthing your baby. Though we laughed a lot I think we all let with some thinking to do.
Nicole, one of my best friends from High School and also the Baker of the soon to be Sweet Spot bakery and creamery, made some amazing white sangria and a Mud pie: almond cookie crust, espresso mousse cake, nutella (nutella from scratch! what?!) pot De creme. Coffee liqeur whipped cream to top it. It was a deliciously amazing day.

I don't have a photo of the White Sangria but you could have one. All you have to do is mix "chardonnay, brandy, yellow and white peach puree, mandarin soda and simple syrup.
grapes, mint and nectarine slices for garnish.
yummers...

Secret tip* soak your peaches in the brandy over night and then puree them or maybe throw a few chunks into the glass. yummy!
