Last week I had the great pleasure of attending the New Port Beach Film Festival with a Spotlight on Sweden. I got to see the movie "Starring Maja" (pronounced Maya). I LOVE this movie. It is heartfelt - Funny - tearful & touching. If it plays anywhere near you you must go see it. The lead actress -Zandra Andersson - is just absolutely brilliant!!! After the movie there was a Q&A and they informed us that she is back at her day job due to so few parts for a lady of size in Sweden. I wanted to slit my wrist. She is amazing and so talented.
